blog 2

When you annotate a text, when you ask yourself questions about its contents, you are helping yourself to understand what you are reading. A summary of a source is usually a condensation of ideas or information. It is neither necessary nor desirable to include every repetition and detail. Before you can begin to summarize a paragragh you mustof course read the passage carefully and understand the significance of each idea and the way it is linked to the other ideas. Both the first and last sentences are possibilities but the first is a broader generalization and a more comprehensive summary. Usually even then you find a strong sentence that suggests the main idea if the paragraph you will still need to tinker with that sentence expanding its meaning by giving th language a more general focus. A comprehensive summary would have to include not only the essence.

  1. Blog Series Evaluation 1:

This first blog series is okay. For the next series, I want you to focus an 1) making entries a bit longer, especially when we are summarizing and responding to reading and 2) posting the entries on time so I can give you individual feedback right away.
